Having returned to these beautiful North Carolina mountains some seventeen years ago has made living here like a year round vacation. Our four seasons give such pleasure to one's life...hiking, swimming, boating, concerts by the lake, plays at our own Flat Rock Playhouse as well as our high schools, band concerts, volunteering opportunities and array of artist workshops. I have had the pleasure of growing up in Clemson, SC, a daughter of a college professor. We spent our summers in the cool of Saluda, NC were we enjoyed laid back days of swimming, hiking, and family gatherings. I lived most of my life in SC where I attended Clemson College, raised my two children in Laurens, SC. before returning to Saluda by way of Beaufort, NC. I feel very much at home in these mountains. Severn years ago I remarried and my husband, Bill and I make our home Hendersonville with strong ties to Saluda. We share a total of five children and twelve grandchildren in various ages and stages.

Giving back to the community is a wonderful part of my life. From United Way's Day of Caring, to cleaning up the roadside on our highways to my Monday morning hours at Pardee hospital for the past seventeen years, I find my life enhanced. These activities give me great pleasure. There are all kinds of opportunities you too can share in.
