Carol has lived in Asheville all of her life, and real estate has been her only career.. She began her career 41 years ago with Higdon Agency, a small real estate firm, which was later CENTURY 21 Accent Properties, owned by Carol and her husband, Lou Higdon, a General Contractor specializing in residential building.

In 1990, Carol joined Beverly-Hanks as a Sales Associate in the South office. She moved to the Biltmore Park office when it opened in 2000.  She has been with Beverly-Hanks for 21 years.

Carol has been a consistant multi-million dollar producer and has received numerous awards, including the Diamond and Chairman Sales Awards.. She has been the Biltmore Park Sales Leader, received the Raving Fans Award, and best of all, the Contributing to Excellence Award-a coveted award by her peers. She was recently recognized as the #7 top producer at Beverly-Hanks for the year 2011.

Carol is a Certified New Home Specialist and a Luxury Home Specialist who has lived in Asheville all of her life and in Biltmore Park for the last 18 years. She and Lou have enjoyed many years of sailing and cruising. They have a large family scattered all over the country.
