From renowned art exhibits to nationally recognized theater productions to our own symphony orchestra, Hendersonville and Henderson County offer a number of cultural events and opportunities throughout the year. Several studios offering one of a kind creations often made in WNC are located from one end of downtown to the other. The Flat Rock Playhouse, North Carolina’s State Theatre, is located in the heart of the Historic Village of Flat Rock.  This theatre gains national recognition for it professional performing company and theatre training programs.  The playhouse season runs from April through December with more than 88,000 patrons enjoying the top-quality entertainment including Broadway musicals, comedies, dramas and theatre for young audiences.
