Hendersonville’s moderate year round climate creates a golfers paradise. Not far outside the county line, lie many recreational activities such as the DuPont State Forest stretching from Rich Mountain in Transylvania County to Stone Mountain in Henderson County. The DuPont State Forest is 10,400 acres featuring three remarkable waterfalls; Hooker Falls, Triple Falls, and High Falls. All of these waterfalls can be seen as you follow the 2 hour walk along the Little River. In addition, the forest offers many road and trails for walking, biking and horseback riding.
